Malik is a gradute of Political Science from university of ilorin and he also Obtained his professional Master in Public Administration from Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU) Ile Ife and Master degree M.sc (Political Economy) from the University of Ilorin in 2010.

Malik has Over 23 years post NYSC work experience. He works briefly with Today Konsult and Investment Ltd Lagos before joining the service of First Bank of Nigeria PLC in June 2003. He rose to the position of Senior Banking Assistance (SBA) before leaving for intercontinental Bank Plc in 2007 where he serves in different capacity till acquisition of the bank in 2012 by Access Bank Plc. He was with Access Bank Nigeria PLC from 2012 to 2018 and serves in different capacity ranging from Retail Operations, Retail Marketing, SME Support and Bussines Banking and Branch Operation Manager.

Malik joined the serves of Kwara State Internal Revenue Service (KWIRS) in 2019 where he serves as Head of Unit( Admin and Reconciliation and saddle with supervisory role. In a bid to full fill his chosen Carrier Malik left KWIRS in June 2022 and joined First City Monument Bank (FCMB) where he is currently working with the Business Banking Group of the Bank. He is a member of Chartered Institute of Banker of Nigeria (CIBN) a member of Chartered Institute of Economists of Nigeria (CEN) and associates member of National Institute of Marketing of Nigeria (IMN). Over the period he had several training ranging from Leadership training, Service Excellence Program, Optimizing Organizational Performance, Customer service Excellence, Aml/Cft Techniques and Solutions, Data analysis and Excel usage., Malik is a member board of directors sub-city project global consult Itd
